Apparel features warmth generating yarn
a new association with Swiss fabric innovator, Schoeller, a specialist in high-performing, stretchable, breathable, waterproof fabrics. Mizzen’s Autumn Winter 2016 (AW16)
M
apparel collection will incorporate Breath Thermo fabric technology, which uses a warmth generating yarn in just one unrestrictive layer. Mizuno, founded in Osaka, Japan, in 1906, is known for its forged golf irons, but also
for its performance apparel. Mizuno’s AW16 ¼ Zip and Pro rain jackets, along with matching rain pants, all benefit from the maximum weather protection the new collaboration with Schoeller has brought to the range. “Mizuno’s base in apparel has always been within the technical environment,”
commented Aki Shirane, global head of apparel. Both new Mizuno AW16 rain jackets are tailored from a three-way stretch fabric,
with Schoeller’s input providing an intelligent temperature adaptive c-change membrane that actively adjusts heat retention to allow comfortable use even in warmer conditions, plus a ‘wipe dry’ water-repelling outer fabric. The waterproofing and breathability this expertise provides is complemented by
Mizuno’s Dynamotion Fit, which ensures total freedom of movement. The ¼ Zip rain jacket will be available in black/black, blue/white and black/white while the full-zip Pro rain jacket will come in white/blue, black/black and blue/wWhite. The matching rain pants will be available in black only. When warmth rather than dryness is the main need, Mizuno’s Breath Thermo yarn will generate the heat required to keep you warm in just one layer. This revolutionary yarn features in three garments - the long sleeve polo shirt, mid active jacket and micro down gilet. Completing the AW16 collection is the excellent moisture-managing Drylite base
layer in white or black. The Drylite base also features Dynamotion Fit, and is contoured to fit against the body rather than being skin-tight.

izuno, which offers a range or technologically advanced performance wear, has announced
The latest productsto hit the shelves Pitch in an Instant T
oday’s campers demand fast, simple to pitch tents and Scandinavian
camping expert, Easy Camp, might just have an answer in its new instant range of fast pitching designs that include three tents sleeping four to five people, and a pavilion for outside shelter. The secret to its quick and easy pitching lies in the new pole design. The
stable Instant range has steel telescopic poles with push button release said to allow them to pack away as easily as they are pitched. Padded hinges connect to the tent material at the bottom and side whilst the clip-on system and double tent attachment points spread the load. They also aim to keep the tent securely attached to the frame to ease pitching by securing the whole structure. The range comprises the Richmond 400, Richmond 500, Oak Grove 500
tunnel-style tents and Pavilion. All use PU-coated polyester with a rain- beating 3,000mm hydrostatic head. The unusual Thermo roof clips on to provide enhanced weather protection. This also protects a mesh ventilation panel in roof of each tent – internal zips close the panel from the inside. This panel works with the large windows, mesh doors and large vents to keep the inside feeling bright and airy no matter the weather – a feeling enhanced by standing headroom throughout. A sewn-in groundsheet provides protection from draughts, water entry and insects. The Richmond 400 sleeps up to four people in a single rear bedroom while the Richmond 500 and Oak Grove 500 sleep up to five in an inner that can be split into two compartments using a drop-down curtain. The Oak Grove 500 has a large front door and two side doors that can all be opened on a warm day to bring the countryside even closer to the camper. The Pavilion completes the range by offering a freestanding shelter that can be quickly pitched on site, or in the garden, or at an event, by the use of the new Instant frame. An optional Pavilion Side Walls pack provides a single front and side wall for protection from two angles. Add another pack to totally enclose all sides for privacy and full protection from weather.
