Teko socks ranges

M3RINO.XC Merino.xc is very fine, mulesing-free merino that is extra comfortable and treated with a Bluesign certified chlorine free treatment that makes the wool shrink-resistant. This means you can wash the socks in a machine with your other sports garments without any special treatment. Merino works best in the mountains and where your body temperature is buffering between hot and cold. Perfect for skiing, hiking, mountaineering, trail running and mountain biking.

EVAPOR8

TEKO’s EVAPOR8 is made from regenerated commercial fishing nets and is very comfortable, super breathable and ultra-durable. It works best in hot, sweaty conditions such as running, fitness, biking and other hot weather sports. Whenever you are going to be outputting a great deal of energy over a short time, this is the best microfiber yarn to have next to your feet. It is socks in the EVAPOR8 range that have won the ISPO & OutDoor awards.

SIN3RGI

TEKO’s third yarn is called merino SIN3RGI and is designed as a merino-rich sock that is five times more durable and faster drying than pure merino.

And Teko is continuing to innovate with its Teko Ripple System which Gordon hopes will see more recognition from the industry. The system is designed to speed up evaporation in a merino wool sock even more, thereby creating a more comfortable feeling against the skin and microclimate.

This combined with Teko’s Achilles Wrap System, an innovation designed to hold the sock onto the foot around the Achilles heel, sets the socks apart from the competition, Gordon argues.

Knitting know-how The specialist sock brand is produced using advanced knitting machines in Italy, arguably the home of the world’s best knitting brains.

Ranges cover EVAPOR8 (ultralight and super soft socks ideally suited to running, cycling and endurance sports), SIN3RGI (high performance, responsibly sourced socks combining merino wool and recycled PET) and M3RINO.XC (100% natural merino next to your skin that is soft, high wicking and suitable for trekking and hiking).

The company believes that making socks from high quality, durable yarns keeps the product in use for a very long time therefore reducing its environmental impact. It also encourages people to wear out their socks.

Spoilt for choice According to Gordon, Teko’s aim with its smart socks is to keep feet comfortable, dry and blister-free, with a perfect fit — clearly a bonus in any sock. The company has spent the last decade perfecting its product and Gordon now believes there is “a sock suitable for everyone in every leisure activity”.

This equates to socks in four different yarns, six different fits, nine different sizes, five different levels of cushioning, and seven different heights all offering benefits in fit, breathability, evaporation, moisture wicking and drier skin.
