SPOTLIGHT: THE HEART OF SENIOR LIVING

Waiting for a Bite at the Fishing Pond One of Summerfield’s most popular ameni- ties at the Gulfport community is the fishing pond. Residents and their families can come out and enjoy a day of fishing, surrounded by beautiful nature. Residents and visitors cast their reels into the pond stocked with bass, catfish, and more, so there's always a good chance of getting a bite. And for those who don't want to fish, we also have ducks that like to take a swim in the pond on the property. They're always a big hit with the grandkids!

A Hole in One at the Golf Putting Greens

Summerfield has tried to get inside the hearts and minds of their residents and they know that many of their residents love golf. That's why they have golf putting greens on site. Residents can come out and practice their putting any time they want. And who doesn’t want to groom the next

Tiger Woods? The putting greens offer a fun way for residents to connect with their grandchildren and teach them a skill they are passionate about.

Bocce Anyone?? We all know how much residents love games around here. Especially those that involve the whole family (or multiple families). A resident favorite activity is Bocce. It’s easy enough for kids and adults to compete against each other, but challenging at its core so everyone can have fun!

Sowing the Seeds of Love in the Maintained Farm Crops Every year, staff and residents plant crops in one of our fields. We then maintain the crops throughout the growing season so that they are healthy and bountiful come harvest time. Fresh fruit and vegetables are grown here and the residents love it! This year, we planted corn, tomatoes, watermelons, and

buckets. It’s a game of life that can be played anywhere, anytime, and it’s fun, challenging, and oh-so-relaxing.

cantaloupes. We can't wait to see how they turn out! There’s also a greenhouse on site to make

sure that both the residents and the plants have the opportunity to flourish in the most favorable conditions.

Residents and their families cast their reels into the pond that is regularly stocked with fish.
