Binnies Australia officially begins trading


Binnies is excited to announce that it has taken another step towards reaching its international strategic growth ambitions by officially establishing Binnies Australia Pty Ltd, representing a significant milestone for Binnies and RSK Group. Binnies, an established name in the water and environmentalmarkets with a 100- year pedigree of providing innovative solutions to complex engineering and environmental needs, can now add Australia to its international business locations, which already include countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnamand the Philippines.


In February 2023, Binnies UKManaging Director Scott Aitken, Binnies Singapore Managing DirectorWilliamYong and Binnies Director of International and Special Projects Gary Laingmet with clients, business partners and existing RSK business leaders in south-east Queensland, Sydney andMelbourne. The engagements started introducing Binnies into the Australian water and environmental markets and established a number of potential key business relationships and opportunities. Thesemeetings also helped Binnies to understand the challenges faced by Australian water utility companies. In particular, Binnies will be working in partnership with Pensar, the latest acquisition by RSK Group in Australia, on several design and build opportunities and growth partnering strategies, adding Binnies’digital engineering, process technology, construction and


commissioning capabilities to Pensar’s significant design and build capabilities and expertise in Australia.


Scott Aitken, Binnies UKManaging Director, stated, “We are delighted to add the Binnies brand and capabilities to the existing strong RSK companies established in the Australianmarket, with over 400 staff already in country. There aremany common challenges faced by water utility companies, but we also recognise the unique nature of some of the challenges that Australian utilities face.We are excited to be able to offer our services and solutions that aimto help solve some of the huge challenges arising from population growth, climate change, asset resilience andmeeting sustainability aims and objectives.”


RSK Group and Binnies are delighted to confirmthe registration and launch of the new company Binnies Australia Pty Ltd, as of 22March 2023, overseen by Gary Laing, Director of International and Special Projects.


Having identified a number of UK staff keen to relocate to Australia to share their knowledge and expertise, we are also currently recruiting new staff to be based in the shared offices with other RSK Group companies, initially in Brisbane, south-east Queensland.
