This raises the question of course of how well is the sector doing? Is it that there are few statistics because we work so well and so have few incidents or is it that the sector is something of Cinderella sector that few seemto worry overly about? Probably not the latter, at least not amongst that work in the sector, but good statistics would help the industry understand just where it sits in the health and safety spectrum concerning confined space ops. Itmay well be that individual organisations keep such records but a country-wide view does not appear to be available.


Furthermore, there is a plethora of confined space information online concerning regulations, working practices etc. that is easily available to anyone working in such situations.What is perhaps a slight worry is that, according to some in several industries
