AWARDS NEWS

Dyno Engineer rewarded

for incredible act By Capital Fleet Solutions

At Dyno Rod’s recent 60th Anniversary Conference and Awards, some of the best performing engineers across the Plumbing and Drains Network were recognised. Nominated by their Business Principals and invited to the event by the Franchisor, the event recognises their contribution to the success of the Dyno Rod network.

One of the winners, Robert Lee, received the coveted Drainage Engineer of the Year. He was recognised for his incredible story of how a drainage services provider goes above and beyond.

“I was driving along theM27 in heavy rain,” comments Robert. “I saw a broken-down car on the side of the road and realised that there was someone inside it. I realised that a woman had collapsed and was unresponsive. Robert then attempted to keep her warmwith his Dyno jacket. “She was in and out of consciousness until the ambulance arrived, it really was a scary moment, not what you would expect froma normal commute to work. I amso glad I stopped now,”

Hismanager, Claire Reed added, “That’s the approach Robert has, giving the utmost care and attention to his work. His dedication to every customer is gold star and he steps up whenever needed without hesitation. A great engineer and deserving of the award.”

All nominees are recognised for their excellent customer service, health and safety approach and ability to drive growth in their businesses. The franchisor emphasises, “The importance that all engineers practice good customer service, nomatter which franchise unit they work for”, “The technicalities of being an engineer can be taught in the classroom, as can the principles of customer service, but there is a step further - that extramile - in terms of practising and delivering experiences for clients that go above, which is an instinct that not everyone naturally has. The job that we do in some instances isn’t themost glamorous, and can be incredibly frustrating and time consuming, but it is vital that, whoever the customer, they have the best experience possible. It’s what keeps people coming back to us.”

“In addition to this, a commonality amongst our winners is their dedication to health and safety. Again, something that can overlooked in the ether of daily working life, it is vital that any organisation strives to uphold the highest standards of health and safety. It is to protect ourselves as a franchise network, as well as our staff, and customers that come into contact with us. This is demonstrated after Dyno received its 10th consecutive gold RoSPA award in 2022, earning it the prestigious ‘president’s award’. Health and safety continues to
