Impressive growth for Catalyst Claims shows

National underground service claim specialist Catalyst Claims has recently celebrated another successful step in in its phenomenal growth with the opening of its new headquarters in Greater Manchester.


Catalyst Claims, which was originally set up by Chartered Insurance Practitioner Brad Jackson ACII in 2014, has delivered exceptional growth enabling important additions to the senior leadership team bringing key market experience and technical skills to the business. Seasoned insurance professionals Jon Haddon, business development manager and Paul Duddle, technical and network manager have brought key market experience and technical skills to the business.


Managing director Brad Jackson said: “Our growth over the last few years shows that there is clearly an appetite in the market for a different approach. At Catalyst, we have a team of highly


experienced professionals on board to ensure that both customers and insurers receive a valued and efficient service.”


As experts in the market, the Catalyst team draws on its vast collective experience to provide a range of specialist services across the domestic, commercial and insurance claim sectors, managing all aspects of domestic, rural and commercial drainage, water supply, subsidence, leak detection and building restoration.


In addition to an experienced team, which has more than doubled in 12 months, Catalyst recently took on an apprentice to help develop future talent in the industry. Apprentice Joe said: “Starting my career at Catalyst has given me the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and start my career in a prospering business environment.”


Catalyst was recently crowned winners at this year’s Greater Manchester Business Awards. Along with Catalyst being shortlisted for the Oldham Business Awards, Managing Director Brad Jackson has also been shortlisted for Rising Start Award at the Insurance Post Claims Awards.


Catalysts’ unique model is built on strong foundations to sustain growth while providing a flexible approach to client and customers individual needs. Brad added: “Our internal service standards set the bar higher than usual to ensure we provide value to our customer and clients by developing solutions which deliver the most efficient and effective outcomes.”

WPL Technical Director joins


BSI Wastewater Committee WPL’s technical director Andrew Baird has been accepted to the British Standards Institute (BSI) as a member of its committee on wastewater treatment plants. Baird will join as British Water’s representative in Working Group 41, helping shape two British Standards (BS) that will also contribute to European Norms (EN).


BS EN 12566-3:2016 is the standard for small wastewater treatment systems up to 50 population total (PT) and BS EN 12255 1-15 is a multi-document standard for wastewater treatment plants.


Lloyd Martin, British Water’s chief executive said, “British Water is the UK’s largest water industry trade association and always has a representative on the BSI committee for wastewater treatment. Andrew will take up the role of convenor of our thriving focus group for wastewater treatment plants serving up to 1,000 people next month and was an obvious choice to represent the organisation.”


Andrew Baird said, “I’m delighted to join BSI as a committee member and to play a part in setting standards for wastewater treatment equipment in the UK and Europe. This is an especially important time to be involved with BSI - when we leave the European Union in March 2019 existing EU legislation will
