Drain-EX 2018

NTM-GB – NTM-GB Ltd, based in Kidderminster, is proud to be exhibiting at Drain-Ex for the first time this year. The company will be showing the Cappellotto range of high quality Italian built combination jetting/vacuum tankers.

There will be a new 26.0 t Scania with tipping lateral stainless tanks for perfect load distribution and high capacity 10,000 l sludge and 5,250 l water. It has top mounted hoses, jetting (160 m x 1 in) and vacuum (20 m x 5 in) operated through a 270o swivelling boom. All of which is remotely controlled via radio remote control. It is equipped with an Uraca high pressure pump, delivering 333 lpm at 170 bar and a Hibon tri-lobe blower giving 1,661 cfm at 95% vacuum.

Also on show will be a 6.0 t Fuso Canter mounted with the ‘Baby Jetter’. It has a full stainless tipping tank, ideal for limited access and low headroom. It is available with a cropped cab giving a height of 1.98 m so is ideal for underground garage access. Vacuum hoses are built on to the rear door to assist its low height.

Visitors can also pick up information on the company’s Re-Cyclers and Vacuum excavation vehicles which can also be seen at the IFAT show in Munich, or at the factory near Venice. Visitors are invited to come along to Stand G1, where they will be able to book the Scania out for demonstrations going forward.

Pearpoint (part of Radiodetection) – Equipment on show at Drain-Ex 2018 and new to the Pearpont range that is designed to expand the capabilities of its CCTV inspection systems to inspect larger diameters pipes includes two new P356 Crawler Cradle models created to extend the reach of its P350 flexitrax systems to pipes up to 60 in (1,500 mm) diameter. The two new cradles support the P356 crawler and enable transit through debris- strewn pipes and silted storm drains. The Standard Cradle can be deployed via a 23 in (600 mm)

manhole and features 13 in (330 mm) wheels to allow it to climb over obstacles such as 4 in (100 mm) house bricks. The Compact Cradle is for deployment through 21 in (530 mm) manholes and can lift a camera to the centre of a 53 in (1,345 mm) pipe. Both operate with any existing control modules or P356 crawlers.

Also announced is the availability of a new powered elevator, coupled with new joystick-based controls for the popular P350 flexitrax™ crawler system. The new elevator enables users to perform surveys of drains and culverts up to 900 mm diameter, with the camera centred in the pipe. The motorised design allows operators to deploy the system through smaller access points in its lowered state, before raising it to centre in the pipe being inspected. The system can also be adapted to centre as pipe diameters change during a survey, or temporarily made smaller to manoeuvre around obstructions during surveys.

The P350 flexitrax - Modular Crawler System, for Commercial video inspection, will also be
