Fellowship Youth Receive
Scholarships by Autumn Donaldson Each year, the Commission on Education receives a number of
Christian Ministries Scholarship applications. It is always a difficult task to sort through these applications and the accompanying pastoral reference forms to choose just a few applicants for the $1000 scholar- ships we award. Tis year was no exception, and aſter a lot of discus- sion, here are our winners: Morgan Easton (Christian Fellowship Church of Rhineland,
Saskatchewan) will be attending Frontier Bible School in LaGrange, Wyoming. She is looking forward to studying the Bible and prepar- ing to be better equipped to serve in the local church. She enthu- siastically and generously serves in her church by teaching Sunday School and Children’s Church, serving on the worship team, and helping clean the church. In her third year at Millar College of the Bible, Jennifer Kirsch
(Compass Immanuel Church, Rapid View, Saskatchewan) hopes to gain a deeper knowledge of the Bible and her beliefs. She spent time this summer working at Bear Lake Bible Camp. When able, Jen helps with teaching children in her church and playing piano for worship. She is known for being joyful and a pleasure to be around.
16 Fellowship Focus, September/October 2016
Derek Reimer (Christian Fellowship Church, Winnipeg,
Manitoba) is entering his second year at Millar College of the Bible and he is working toward a Bachelor of Biblical Studies. His goals in attending Millar include growing in his faith and relationship with God, developing the giſts God has given him, and building leadership skills. He is genuine, friendly, trustworthy, and missions-minded. Justin Reimer (Christian Fellowship Church, Winnipeg,
Manitoba) will be a freshman at Millar College of the Bible this year. Justin enjoys gaining new perspectives from the discussions that take place in Sunday School Bible Studies at his home church. His goal in attending college is to gain a better grounding in his faith and to get away from the distractions of life at home. Justin is described as gentle, caring, and always on the lookout to share Jesus with others. As a freshman at Millar College of the Bible (Sunnybrae campus),
Kristen Wall (Langham Bible Church, Saskatchewan) hopes to deepen her relationship with Christ, grow in her identity as a child of God, and prepare for future ministry both locally and internationally. Kristen has a trustworthy and caring nature, zeal, enthusiasm, and an infectious love for Christ, which she displays as she sings on the wor- ship team, teaches children, or serves in any other way that is needed. In the event that one or more of our winners cannot attend
school for the entire year, we choose alternate winners to receive their monies. Tis year our alternates are Matthias Mierau (Nipawin Bible College) and Bradley Spencer (Millar College of the Bible), both from Langham Bible Church, Langham, Sask.
