Commission on Education Six students were awarded scholarships of $1000 (see page 15). Each year the Anna Rieger Award in Christian Educations
is given to an exceptional teacher in our Fellowship. Tis year LaDonna Stout from First Mennonite Church in Butterfield, Minn., received the award. An excerpt from her commendation highlights her long contribution to Christian Education: Dr. Anna Rieger taught Christian Education at Grace
Bible Institute [now Grace University] for many years and was profoundly influential in shaping the teaching of her students through the years. Our recipient this year was one such student: LaDonna Loewen Stout. Aſter receiving her education at Grace Bible Institute, LaDon-
na has spent more than 30 years in lay ministry, including serving as a Sunday school teacher, being on the Missions Committee of her church, working with the Ladies Mission Circle, doing Christian Endeavor, and going on visitation with her husband. She also served as short-term missionary to Columbia and was a missionary with her husband to Brazil. In addition, LaDonna has had a home daycare for 35 years. To
these children, including many unchurched tots, LaDonna teach- es Bible stories, Christian songs, Books of the Bible, and the same biblical principles that she teaches to her Sunday School students.
Commission on Missions Global partners [missionaries] were welcomed at a reception
on Wednesday aſternoon. Te CoM reported that the FEBC sponsored trip to Paraguay
in June was a success. Te team was able to help FEBC missionar- ies René and Anja Gaona with construction and ministry oppor- tunities (see Fellowship Focus, July/August 2016, p. 8). Delegates and guests were able to interact with missionaries
around their displays in the foyer and during coffee breaks and meals. On Friday evening CoM hosted a dinner for the sixteen active and retired global partners present along with Crosspoint’s CO!Mission Team.
Te CoM is in the process of publishing a children’s book of
stories from our Fellowship’s global partners. Tree units of global partners were honored for over 30 years
of service: Bob and Marilyn Ehle, Bob and Carolyn Lee, and Wal- do and Lynette Goossen (See Global Partners Honored, page 16).
Commission on Outreach Outreach Point Person: God has designed outreach to be a
team effort. Outreach hopes to identify an outreach point person in each church through whom they encourage teamwork among church leadership and pastors, and have another avenue of passing on the vision to the church family. Matching Grant: Up to $500 is available per church to pursue
a church-wide outreach campaign. Outreach wants to encourage efforts to be made as a team with intentional planning, execution, and evaluation. As we work together with the Body, God can multiply the impact, liſt our spirits knowing we are not alone, and move with power as we join together as one. Matching Grant: Up to $500 is available per church for
outreach training. Tis money can be used to bring in someone with experience and passion to help the church evaluate, plan, and prepare the church for outreach. Te grant can also be used to send two or more individuals for training who can return and implement what they learned.

connecting throughout our Fellowship. Each of our clergy wives received the book Te Pastor’s Wife:
Strengthened by Grace for a Life of Love by Gloria Furman. A luncheon gave pastor’s wives an opportunity to get to know
each other. In place of the traditional Women’s Tea, women enjoyed a
luncheon followed by a visit to the Wolfe Country Quilt Show Continued on next page
