Corporate Corner
Many large companies in Britain have developed and implemented Corporate Social Responsibility programmes which aim to benefit the communities in which they operate. Developing partnerships with local charities has a number of advantages including; increased sales, building consumer loyalty and emotional attachment to the company and its products, and increasing staff loyalty and commitment to the company.
Corporate Partnerships are vitally important to Compton Hospice as they provide a regular, stable income over a set period. Compton Hospice is keen to form ongoing partnerships with local companies and have an active involvement during their fundraising.
We can tailor the partnership, offering both financial and voluntary opportunities. Large, national companies often come on board, but equally the support of local organisations forms the key core of our support.
The level of commitment is up to each company; we just want to help you get the most out of helping us. The key to any relationship is flexibility, we want to be guided by you. Achieving this successfully enables both parties to obtain their goals, and also to have an exciting and rewarding time.
Corporate Partner Profile: Angel Springs Water Coolers
Angel Springs Water Coolers, based in Wolverhampton, are long term supporters of Compton Hospice having been official Corporate Partners of ours for over 8 years. Rachel Jones, Commercial Manager at Angel Springs comments “As a company we believe in supporting both local and national charities. As a company we get a great sense of satisfaction that we are helping the Hospice to raise the £6 million they need to function each year.
“We support the Hospice by donating water and volunteering at events, sponsoring and entering the Hospice quiz nights, dressing up as Elves at the Christmas Fayre and more recently we have sponsored the Wolverhampton Marathon of which the Hospice is a permanent charity partner. Having a partnership with the Hospice means that the staff feel they are making a real difference to an important charity in the city
where they live and work, whilst having great fun at the same time. We can highly recommend it!” For more information on the work of Angel Springs Water Coolers visit

Charity of the Year Partner: Sainsbury’s Perton
Every year staff and shoppers from Sainsbury’s stores across the country are asked to vote for which charitable cause they would like their local store to support. We were therefore delighted to learn that Compton Hospice had been chosen to receive support from Sainsbury’s Perton from June 2013 to June 2014.
Throughout the 12 month partnership the store organised various fundraising initiatives including hosting a family fun day, organising bake sales, in store collections and taking part in a sponsored walk. As a result the partnership brought in a fantastic £8512 for the hospice and is one of the largest amounts raised by the store through a charity of the year partnership.
