will be used to cross all main rivers including the River Deben, Kirton Creek, Martlesham Creek and the River Gipping, avoiding impacts on major watercourses and those of high sensitivity and international value.

148. In accordance with the embedded mitigation the storage of potentially contaminative materials would be away from the edge of any watercourses and compliant with Environment Agency Pollution Prevention Guidance series and the Outline CoCP.

149. In general it is considered that works would result in a temporary low magnitude impact on the watercourses with a minor adverse significance. Where potentially contaminative sites or landfills will be crossed the magnitude of effect is high and so the significance is considered to be moderate or major adverse. Additional mitigation to reduce the impact significance is described.

150. Operationally there is no pathway for impact under Scenario 1 and a minor adverse impact predicted for Scenario 2. Decommissioning impacts are considered similar to those outlined in the construction phase.
