impacts. This impact will be confirmed by site inspection prior to completion of the final ES.

131. The converter station does not lie within any designated sites and there is no pathway for cumulative impacts.

132. As there are no pathways for cumulative impacts with the three proposed East Anglia Offshore Wind projects there is no pathway for cumulative impacts with any other projects on statutory designated sites.

21.7.1.2 Cumulative Impacts 2: Impacts at Non-Statutory Designated Sites 133. Only one non-statutory designated site lies within the study and there will be no impact on that from the construction of East Anglia ONE, East Anglia THREE or East Anglia FOUR (see section 21.6.1.2). As there are no pathways for cumulative impacts with the three proposed East Anglia Offshore Wind projects there is no pathway for cumulative impacts with any other projects on non-statutory designated sites.

21.7.1.3 Cumulative Impact 3: Impacts to Groundwater 134. Potential impacts to groundwater caused by leakage of drilling fluid; trenching through potentially contaminated land; dewatering activities; and accidental spillages and leakages will be minimised by adherence to the Outline CoCP and through adherence to mitigation measures outlined in Table 21.14. The significance of this potential impact is considered to be minor adverse for East Anglia THREE and given the temporary nature of the impact, its significance is not considered to increase as a result of construction activities during East Anglia ONE and East Anglia FOUR.

21.7.1.4 Cumulative Impact 4: Impacts to Surface Water 135. Potential impacts to surface water quality caused by leakage of drilling fluid (during HDD) and accidental spills and leaks; sediment laden runoff generated during open- cut water crossings; and derogation of surface water flow in stretches of rivers which have licensed abstractions will be minimised by adherence to the outline CoCP and through adherence to mitigation measures outlined in Table 21.15. The significance of this potential impact is considered to be minor adverse for East Anglia THREE and given the temporary nature of the impact, its significance is not considered to increase as a result of construction activities during East Anglia ONE and East Anglia FOUR.

21.7.2 Potential cumulative impacts during Operation 136. As discussed in section 21.6.2 potential impacts come from the requirement for any maintenance activity along the onshore cable route during the life of the projects. It
