The judges said this winner ticked all the boxes. It has invested heavily in new aircraft and the development of a new fuel, and the panel also liked the fact it was working with communities in India and China.
The judges felt that in addition to an outstanding in-flight product, there had been plenty of innovation and expansion, as well as an excellent corporate social responsibility strategy. In terms of the corporate market, Etihad had a slight edge over its rivals.
International SOS, said the judges, is the Rolls-Royce of travel assistance and security advice services. It is a well-resourced and hugely professional organisation.
This product, the judges felt, was a genuine game changer. It has great reach on fares, impressive customer testimonials and is an all-inclusive channel, ideal for small- and medium-sized businesses.
The judges said the team here really immerse themselves in the client’s core activities, demonstrate great financial acumen and offer an innovative ‘free trial period’. Giles demonstrates genuine client engagement, with results to prove it.
The judges felt that Giles Travel’s continued investment in its staff remains a winning formula, which gets stronger every year.
