NPE 2015
Q-Lab is displaying its weathering test equipment and services for the plastics and packaging industries. Its QUV accelerated weathering tester accurately repro- duces the most damaging portion of sunlight. The company’s Q-Sun flat array or rotating drum xenon test chambers are also used by the plastics industry when colour stability is an important concern. Q-Lab operates outdoor testing facilities in Florida and Arizona. Its Q-Trac natural sunlight concentrator can provide five times the annual UV exposure found in South Florida, therefore combining the benefits of outdoor and accelerated testing. In addition, AIM boxes are used for accelerating the degradation of typical automotive interior parts. ❙

measurement to help control and manage a colour workflow through the supply chain. The device features advanced auditing capabilities with an on-board camera capturing images of each measurement. This provides a visual record of every sample as well as a detailed audit trail of the settings at the time of meas- urement. The Ci7800 also features automated instrument set-up and comes with up to five apertures and three automated UV filters for increased meas- urement flexibility. ❙
