NPE 2015: the compounders’ guide to the big show
NPE 2015 takes place on 23-27 March in Orlando, Florida, and it is set to be the largest US plastics exhibition ever. Some 2,000 exhibitors and more than 60,000 visitors are expected to converge on the Orange County Conference Center (OCCC) over the fi ve days to explore all that’s new in the world of plastics. The event is also shaping up to be the most interna- tional NPE show. More than 40% of the booked exhibitors are from outside of the US, drawn from 37 countries including large contingents from China, India, South Korea and Taiwan, as well as more familiar exhibitor countries such as Canada, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Around 30% of attendees are likely to come from outside of the US, with the show’s organiser – the SPI – forecasting close to 10% of the total visiting from Latin America. In the fi rst part of our NPE preview in last month’s Compounding World, we looked at a selection of new compounding machinery and equipment on show in Orlando. Plus we reported on the economic trends and machinery demand growth in the USA that are forming
