designed for powder and granule handling applications where static must be controlled. Master-PUR products offer a surface resistance of R0

seamless smooth and abrasion resistant inner lining. The company is also exhibiting its Master-SIL 2 hose,

a lightweight and flexible product offering high tempera- ture and chemical resistance. The company says it is well suited for the extraction of warm air from plastic dryers. ❙ www.masterduct.com

Nordson BKG’s new cutter hubs and blades for underwater pelletizers

deliver a range of benefits

Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen (NGR) is presenting the latest evolution of its S:Gran shredder- feeder-extruder combination at NPE. It is designed to deliver more convenience in operation, higher process stability and increased resource efficiency. The machine can recycle plastic scrap of virtually any shape and size so that it can be re-used. The S:Gran 75 V HD on show at NPE

has a control unit that automatically adjusts the shredding pressure to optimise recyclate quality. The touch-screen display alerts operators when mainte- nance is required, and videos and electronic manuals assist with these tasks.

NGR is also highlighting its BritAS automatic band

melt filter technology following its acquisition of BritAS Recycling-Anlagen two years ago. The filter system is designed to handle high volumes of heavily contami-

Nordfab’s Quick-Fit ducting is designed for

fast installation

Nordfab is at NPE to showcase its Quick-Fit ducting for dust, mist, fume and smoke collection. The ducting is designed for fast installation using the company’s Quick-Fit clamp which doesn’t require any special tools, rivets, screws or welding. The clamp allows easy adjustment of ducting layouts as well as simple removal for cleaning. Quick-Fit ducting is available in galvanised or stainless steel. ❙ www.nordfab-us.com

Nordson BKG is introducing redesigned cutter hubs and blades for underwater pelletizers. The company says that they increase throughput, improve transporta- tion of pellets from the cutting area, simplify cutter assembly, and provide new options for reducing wear to die plates and blades. The new design increases throughput by accommo- dating up to 100% more angled blades per hub (36 instead of 18) or 54% more straight blades (40 instead of 26). As an alternative to increased throughput, the operator can reduce pelletizer RPM, maintaining throughput while reducing wear to die plate and blades.

Nordson produces the new design

using the same metal as in standard hubs and blades, but employs a casting process rather than machining the metal. In addition to boosting the number of blades, this process also increases the space between the blades, reduces the volume of the cutter hub assembly, and allows the use of countersunk fasteners for mounting the blades to the hub. These features improve transportation of the pellets, which enhances efficiency, improves pellet formation, and is particularly beneficial for producing micropellets. The redesign also makes it possible for the first time

to use the same hub for accommodating either angled or straight blades, providing new versatility for users who run multiple materials. The new hub and blades can be used on any Nordson BKG underwater pelletizer with throughputs from 1,000 to 35,000 kg/hour. ❙ www.nordson.com
