Avenue Floors Launches New Website

New Course Content at QSA to Keep Skills Current

The Academy for Excellence in Flooring has updated Master Installer course content to accommodate Quick-Step’s latest extra-wide and extra-long wood and laminate floors.

Inspiring at every click of the mouse but also adding an increased element of interactivity, the new Avenue Floors website has been developed with today’s ever-developing digital landscape firmly in mind.

The new site, fully optimised for mobile and tablet devices, makes best use of an updated portfolio of Avenue Floors lifestyle imagery, showcasing new collections and range updates to their fullest potential. These include the brand new Ultimate Expressions concept with its swathe of design inspiration, including of- the-moment geometric and herringbone effects, a worthy way to headline Avenue Floors’ activities for 2017.

Victoria Hemelaer, Product Manager at Avenue Floors, explained: “Now more than ever, it’s important that a website engages its customer base.

“This is the primary touch point for many of our consumers and, with competition ever on the increase, it’s vital that we keep up with - and improve upon - others in the market space.

“The website will also support our network of retailers, with a search facility that allows the visitor to discover his or her nearest Avenue Floors stockist along with a free sample request service.”

This website really does make searching for your perfect floor a simpler task, with the ability to filter swatches by collection, colour or effect. Joining

Introducing Majestic laminate and Massimo engineered wood, the Master Installer course has been refreshed to include these new formats, so that fitters can experience the floors firsthand before encountering them on-site. With large planks a key trend in interiors for 2017, Quick-Step is already experiencing strong sales for these new collections and so it was natural for the over-size planks to be included in course content.

Lee Thompson, Technical Manager at the Academy, said: “It’s important that Master Installers leave the Academy versed in the latest Quick-Step innovations and so we’ve updated the course to include the unique fitting requirements of Massimo and Majestic.

“With the right techniques, fitting large format planks can be up to 30% faster than more conventional formats, but it does require adjusting conventional thinking. Installing Massimo and Majestic requires no tapping blocks or pull bars and trying to fit this way is slow, aggressive and you risk damaging the planks.”

Adapting course content to new product developments also helps Quick-Step to endorse all Master Installers through a two-year workmanship warranty no matter what the product - an important benefit that’s exclusive to qualified fitters. Along with a listing on the Quick-Step website, this helps Master Installers to secure high-value work on a regular basis.

All spaces for early-spring courses are now sold out, so fitters looking to enjoy expert training and a range of post-qualification benefits should book without delay for late-spring and summer courses.
