Showrooms
Showcasing the latest products and concepts for contract, architecture and interior design, Clerkenwell’s showrooms are the foundation of the festival. This year, over 90 showrooms will take part and highlights include:
Arper Bloggers Lounge; the official digital hub of the festival, offering refreshments and free
Wi-Fi.In collaboration with We Blog Design, Arper will host a number of enriching workshops throughout the three day event.
Clerkenwell London will return this year with the Design Undefined, a selection of projects from some of the most innovative talents on the capital’s design scene, including Anthony Burrill, Alex Booker and Jordan Söderberg Mills.
Also showcasing its latest design talents will be carpet manufacturer ege who will present Atelier, a new collection of rugs by renowned designer Christian Lacroix.
Exhibition – Design Fields
One of three key destinations to visit during Clerkenwell Design Week is Design Fields, located next to one of Clerkenwell’s favourite spots – Exmouth Market. Here, there will be a presentation of a diverse range of products from the best of international design.
Exhibition – Project
For the first time, Project will span two structures within the Garden of St James, hosting over 20 leading manufacturers presenting furniture, lighting and contemporary product design.
Returning to Project, LUCTRA by DURABLE will showcase their biologically effective lighting range which is able to closely replicate daylight with its cold white and warm white LEDS. Also in this section, Amtico will be showcasing the new Amtico Carpet range in its entirety.
CDW Presents
This year’s show is set to present some of CDW’s most ambitious installations including The Beacon, supported by Perspex, a 7.5m tall structure, located at the entrance to

Design Fields. Inspired by the Tower of Babel, the structure will feature an internal staircase encased in a typographical design which celebrates internationalism. Visitors will be able to climb up the internal staircase to a viewing platform overlooking a cross-section where the industrial meets historical Clerkenwell.
Hakwood, specialist in the design and manufacture of engineered wood flooring and wall tiles, will animate Clerkenwell Close with a geometric installation inspired by their new wall tile range.
Karndean Designflooring will produce a series of installations along the Clerkenwell route. In conjunction with their new floor tile collection Kaleidoscope, each of the four objects will feature both mirror and floor tiles creating a kaleidoscopic effect.
Fringe Activities
As part of the ‘Fringe’ programme, The Goldsmith’s Centre will open its doors to The Serendipity Studio, where they will host a series of material workshops, talks and drop in sessions. In the main event space, a large scale installation and exhibits from material specialists, engineers, architects, designers and craftspeople will be presented as a live example of serendipitous design and collaboration.
Bringing the history of Clerkenwell to life, Museum of London will curate a series of guided tours around the local area. Focusing on the past, present and future of making, the tours will be led by a range of historians, makers and curators.
Stirling Ackroyd, in association with Clerkenwell’s latest agile working space Fora, present ‘A space to be brilliant’, a series of design-led talks from world-renowned designers, architects and marketeers, offering an insight into the importance of design within the workspace market.
