Distinctive Design at Domotex

With a total of 1,409 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, Domotex, Hannover, prevailed in its reputation for showcasing the innovative spirit and high

performance capability of the floorcoverings industry. Here, we take a look at just some of the design excellence on display at the event back in January.

Leonis by Balta

This year’s Domotex proved the perfect platform for Balta to demonstrate the product versatility found within its portfolio, with the 2016 introduction of Leonis using its combination of powerful branding, great looks and high-end performance to take centre stage.

It was difficult to ignore the Balta stand and the large-scale lions and lionesses that made up the Leonis showcase, helping to attract guests who passed through the doors of Hall 6. These graphics are replicated across all Leonis point- of-sale, meaning retailers can present their customers with a similarly eye-catching experience that draws them to the quality, softness and colour selection found within.

Across its Sarabi, Sarafina, Simba and Kesari lines, Leonis makes full use of Balta’s 100% PP Stainsafe SENSIT fibre, meaning exceptional performance joins a beautiful look and feel. Leonis was certainly a Domotex highlight, Balta demonstrating its confidence in the brand by giving it its own website: leoniscarpet.com. Here, customers can view the collection in its entirety, with wall-to-wall options that are sure to appeal to both retailer and end user.

Away from its broadloom offering, the stand also unveiled its largest and most impressive residential carpet tile portfolio to date. No fewer than seven new ranges were introduced, some using Imprel PA fibres, some 100% PP bleach cleanable Stainsafe fibres and another combination of both, to create a striking collection that is as beautiful as it is versatile.

Geert Vanden Bossche, Marketing Director, commented: “Balta views Domotex as a real calendar highlight, and this year has been fantastic for strengthening relationships and also for showing our newest output, namely the Leonis collection, to our audiences across the UK and mainland Europe.

“Reaction to this, plus other portfolio updates and additions, including enhancement to our residential carpet tiles, has been very pleasing, and we look forward to building on the success of Domotex in the months to come.”

being the star of the show with hues from Rustic Violet to Peacock Blue. Gala, one of Balta’s flagship loop-piles, was unveiled in updated colourways to sit alongside new Stainsafe collection, Soft Noble Stripe, while SENSIT was bolstered also through new introductions.

Finally, the stand also revealed new developments made to Satino, the super soft stable, ensuring Balta’s 2017 Domotex was brimming with innovation across the board.
