WHAT’S NEW?

THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

FORUM RETURNS FOR 2016 Celebrating three successful years; the Occupational Health and Safety Forum is set to be bigger than ever this year. Taking place on the 4th February 2016 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, London Stansted; the event brings the industry together to discuss relevant business solutions through a series of face-to-face meetings. With endless networking opportunities and educational seminars on industry advances and most effective health and safety practices; the Occupational Health and Safety Forum has established itself as an unparalleled platform for both suppliers and delegates to build upon their expertise within the ever-changing industry.

Within a market dominated by trade shows and exhibitions; the Occupational Health and Safety Forum is smaller in size but more relevant for both delegates and suppliers. The much overheard phrase “less is more” seems to prevail here. Unlike any other event in the industry; attendance is limited to relevant professionals and companies ensuring that attendees leave not only with useful contacts but also with a strong potential of forming new business partnerships.

Recruiting delegates with significant purchasing power and upcoming business projects; the event ensures no time is wasted by providing an ideal foundation for a successful business relationship. For delegates the event serves as a unique opportunity to learn about what’s new in the market while finding potential suppliers for the needs of upcoming projects in a relaxed, non-hard sell environment.

The event will be hosting some big names this year including senior representatives from Asda Stores Ltd, FirstGroup Plc, Grainger Plc, London City Airport, Matalan, ODEON Cinemas, Tesco Stores Ltd, Vesuvius UK Ltd and many more. Over its three-year lifespan, the event has already become well-established within the industry; with the previous event receiving masses of positive

14 | TOMORROW’S FM WASHROOMS FIT FOR

A KING Propelair, the UK toilet manufacturer that has revolutionised toilet flushing with a system using air and only 1.5 litres of water, is celebrating the start of its third year with a string of major installations and a busy order book for 2016. The technology has already been adopted by a number of local authorities, and its many benefits are being recognised by the education sector too, with a recent installation at Cardiff University. The Lyceum Theatre – now showing The Lion King – has also requested an installation for the New Year.

The Propelair system operates using displaced air and a fraction of the water used by most conventional toilets which in the UK average 9 litres per flush. It eliminates bacteria spreading around the washroom when flushing and provides the most hygienic and effective toilet flush available anywhere in the world.

Workplace washrooms can consume up to 90% of the water used in commercial buildings. Propelair cuts usage on each flush by an average of 84%.

For leak proof operation, water is delivered through a siphon. Maintenance is minimised because the bowl has no rim for germs to hide and the seat is a new design to prevent it moving on its pins. Propelair toilets can be installed easily as a replacement unit or in new build.

feedback. A previous attendee from HM Land Registry commented;

“A fulfilling programme that struck the right balance of seminars, networking and face-to-face meetings”

Chosen based upon the needs of attending delegates; our suppliers provide a myriad of health and safety products and services; from training courses and behavioural safety to fire suppression systems. The event works as a time-saving device for both parties involved. A cost-beneficial event for attending

Less energy is required for water and waste processing, so the toilet’s carbon footprint is reduced by approximately 80%. Propelair also reduces commercial water and sewage bills by up to 60%. Flushing takes three seconds and the toilet is ready to re-flush in 20 seconds – not the normal 2-3 minutes.

Propelair has all the relevant approvals and reaches the highest performance rating under BREEAM’s water efficiency guidelines. It exceeds environmental planning legislation such as Part G of the Building Regulations Code for Sustainable Homes. It has the BSI Kitemark, WRAS and ISO9001 globally recognised standards.

To make life easy for environmentally friendly organisations, Propelair has a finance scheme whereby the toilets can be paid for out of the water savings, so any site can have this exciting product immediately for no extra cost.
