OPTIMISED FOOD TO ENERGY HELISTRAT


Traditionally, the recycling of food waste has meant collection and delivery direct to an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) facility. Helistrat has developed an optimised food waste recycling service, which will optimise the commercial value of customers’ food waste whilst continuing to minimise its environmental impact.

The development of materials recycling facilities for food means that Helistrat clients are now able to pre-treat food waste to remove more packaging and extract certain organics, which can be used to make compost or animal feed. It is also possible to recover proteins used to produce higher value biofuels. This approach optimises the commercial value of their clients’ food waste and provides a more stable and consistent input material for AD facilities helping maximise biogas yields.


Helistrat is also helping to promote and support the upgrading of AD biogas to biomethane for injection into the gas grid.

ORTHOMAT ULTIMATE COBA EUROPE


COBA Europe’s Orthomat Ultimate is a high-density foam anti- fatigue mat, which provides underfoot comfort for operatives who have to stand for prolonged periods of time. It has been designed specifically for use in oily, wet or chemical-prone environments. Unlike heavy rubber mats traditionally used in these conditions, it is available in easy to handle rolls and in specified cut lengths for ease of cleaning and manoeuvrability.


Orthomat Ultimate has a unique flame-retardant outer layer, manufactured from a revolutionary PolyNit material which completely encapsulates the soft foam inner. Unlike conventional PVC foam matting, which allows liquids to seep through, causing degradation, the PolyNit outer layer totally seals the foam inner for the ultimate protective barrier. The tapered edges are heat- sealed for complete protection.


Orthomat Ultimate has a raised diamond pattern surface to provide slip-resistance even in oily or wet conditions. The patterned surface is resilient to piercing or tearing when in contact with sharp debris.


It is ideal for locations such as oily machine shops, food processing and preparation areas. Employers in these types of industries now have the opportunity to address the very serious problems of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) brought on by prolonged standing on hard floor surfaces.
