NAfME North Central Division Meeting


The NAfME North Central Division Board, led by the NC Division President Leyla Sanyer, met at the Wisconsin Cen- ter for Music Education. Representatives from all 10 states were represented includ- ing WMEA President Lynn Seidl, WMEA


President-Elect Kati Seiter, WMEA Past President Jim Scheuer, and WMEA Gov- ernment Relations Chair Brad Schneider. Each state gave reports as well as NAfME President Denese Odgaard and NAfME Executive Director and CEO Mike Blakeslee who were also in attendance. In addition to reports, breakout sessions were implemented and ideas generated


through topics of teacher shortage, diver- sity and ESSA. Finally, networking time was provided along with tours of venues in our great city of Madison. It was very exciting to have this meeting in the Wis- consin Center for Music Education for the first time. We were able to really show off what great music education is happening in Wisconsin.


NAfME North Central Division hosts meeting at the Wisconsin Center for Music Education in Waunakee. States represented are:


Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Michigan.
