Female Focus U3A Marina Baixa General Meeting
On the 17th April the U3A Marina Baixa held their Monthly General Meeting at the Casa de Cultura, Alfaz del Pi.
There were 161 Members in attendance, including 2 new members, plus 5 visitors. Following the Meeting, Roy Gough gave us a very interesting and amusing talk entitled “A Trip Down Memory Lane” and had the audience singing the old songs, which we all remember so well from our youth! Several of the members then enjoyed a lovely meal at the Hogar del Pensionista, Alfaz del Pi.
May Meeting U3A Marina Baixa holds its general meetings on the fourth Monday of each month in the auditorium at the Casa de Cultura, Alfaz del Pi. The next meeting is on Monday the 22nd May, the doors open at 10am and the desks close at 10.50am for a prompt 11am start, please come early to sign in and get your seat!

U3A Marina Baixa 'Paint Into Spring'
The Watercolour Group meet on the first Monday of the month and the project for April was Spring Flowers. Group Leader, Elaine Mitchell, had prepared examples of daffodils, iris and pansies for the members to use as a guide and a high standard of watercolour paintings were produced during the morning.
The classes are always well attended and the concentration is palpable as members work to the best of their ability to complete the tasks set. The topic for June will be Sunflowers providing another opportunity to develop individual styles and techniques. New members are always welcome whether an accomplished artist or a complete novice.
