Page 37 Time to find shade!
Summer is almost here and it’s time to start thinking about how to keep in the shade when it all gets too much. Saying that, with an average 300 days of sunshine here on the coast, we need some shade all year round.
WoodWorks Direct specialise in pergolas, carports, lean-tos, gazebos and kennels amongst many other wooden wonders.
Probably the most popular of the products are their pergolas. Let the bougainvillea crawl beautifully around the sculptured wood, decorate with floaty curtains and cushions, and hey presto you have your own gorgeous chillout zone. And they make gazebos too. For those of you who don’t know the difference between a pergola and a gazebo, apparently gazebos always have covered roofs. Ideal for long lunches, they have a range of different treatments and trellises to choose from, and the finished results will definitely impress.
The sun doesn’t only age your skin. Cars with badly faded and peeling paint are common in Spain and avoidable with a treated sculptured timber car port, which is much cheaper and quicker to build than a conventional garage.
