and rock atrium, a cozy fireplace, chandeliers and beautiful early 20th century antiques. Morgan says many people get married in the Great Room and he also rents it out for business meetings, conventions, banquets, etc.


The hotel has a courtyard with a New Orleans-style garden and even a hair salon where you can get a beauty treatment.


After big city life, they love the small town feel of Jasper, but also enjoy the fact it attracts many tourists.


His love for the area led him to found, with the help of several other businessmen, The Buffalo River Chamber of Commerce, which grows every year.


The Morgans go back to New Orleans every now and then, but this little town has become home.


“I love this place. If you drive off the road, it’s not a question of if someone will help you, but how many people will stop to help you,” Joseph said. “Christianity worked here and the people are a reflection of that.”
