never expected to own the restaurant. She met Russ in Harrison where he worked at Hardees for more than two decades and they became good friends. Eventually, they fell in love and decided to buy the Ozark Café.


Jerri worked at Junkin Java before it was purchased and transformed into the expanded restaurant.


Since taking over, they have expanded hours, eliminated a few dishes and added more salads, but have honored the restaurant’s tradition. While there are bound to be some tweaks in the future, don’t expect too much to change at the Ozark Café.


If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.


“We want to maintain the legacy of what it is now,” said Russ.


A collection of signs is just part of the unique decor at the Ozark Café.
