It’s time to emerge...
As I write this, it is snowing lightly outside my window and the brave little snowdrops in my garden must feel that they poked their lovely heads up a month or two too early. Suddenly we fi nd ourselves plunged into spring and racing towards summer and you could swear that Christmas just happened a couple of weeks ago.
I keep meeting people in the street who say, “ where is this year going?” and I am lost for an answer. I was talking about this the other day in conversation with a friend I only catch up with once or twice a year and we agreed that the infrequency of our meetings couldn’t possibly have any impact on the speed at which time passed It just focussed our minds on all the times we part company using the well worn, ‘let’s not make it so long next time!’
I found myself thinking that this is unlikely to be a pattern which is unique to me and my friends and that that little question with no answer exchange plays itself out everywhere.
The truth is, and without being ghoulish, it is a shortish life and a year isn’t a very long period of time unless you are 4…5….6…or 7 waiting for your birthday to arrive.
What we all have in common is the capacity to make our lives and our time count.
Whether you are 20, 40 or 80 you owe it to you to live the very best life you can. So... dust off that manuscript shoved in the back of your drawer, make that phone call you’ve been putting off , decide to take a chance and follow your dream.
