Take time out to reflect

Taking time out regularly to reflect can be as good for you as a great night’s sleep – yet how often do our time-poor business leaders take this opportunity? Information overload can leave you stressed, drained and prone to poor decision making. Reflection time gives you the opportunity to consider your experience,

think about it, evaluate it and, in doing so, improve your future performance. To support your reflection time, the Chamber’s Director Development

Programme is a great opportunity to not only learn some new skills but also take time out with like-mined leaders and share ideas, ways of moving forward and also worries and concerns. Steve Brown from Adshead Ratcliffe said: “The course took me on the

start of a journey that I never expected and the fruits of it are still growing. “Six days of training is not a long time, but the course content isn’t

designed to help you work through certain tasks or learn the latest management jargon, but goes straight to the personal and creates an atmosphere where analysis of your own character, beliefs and working methods are bought to the fore.” The course, which runs over a three month time scale, starts 26 April and is limited to 12 delegates.

TRAINING COURSE IN FOCUS:

BESPOKE TRAINING Flexibility is key when working with companies to support their bespoke training needs and the Chamber is able to put together packages of training targeted specifically to meet the needs of your business. A bespoke training package means you can cover as much ground

as possible in a short period of time, gaining skills for specific tasks and getting focused attention for specific staff members. Working with a diverse group of quality-assured external providers,

the Chamber will work with you to ensure the right fit of delivery. A dedicated staff member will liaise with you throughout the programme, ensuring all your requirements are met and also completing a quality check with you following the course delivery. Training is cost-effective and relevant, can be delivered at your

premises or a venue suitable for you and you don’t necessarily need large groups. The Chamber is a leading provider of bespoke training – during 2016 it delivered over 100 bespoke training days to support member and non-member companies across the East Midlands.
