For those with green fingers, Pilar de la Horadada have their Spring Flower and Plant Markets on Sunday 2nd April. Stalls will be set up around the Plaza de la Iglesia and open from 10am until 2pm. The Mercadillo de Plantas y Flores features flower and plant displays from three of the local garden centres; Floristeria Petunia, Flores Alfonso and Maxi Garden.


Staying in Pilar de la Horadada they have their 7th Gastronomy Experience: Sabores de Cuaresma, The Tastes of Lent on Friday 7th and 14th April. Seven restaurants offer a Menu del Dia and a Menu del Noche for just 20€ per person including IVA. All menus will be served with a drink, bread, desert and a coffee. In Pilar de la Horadada: Restaurants Bodegón La Peña, Callemayor, Los Caracoles - El Mojón: Mediterráneo - Torre de la Horadada: Torremar, Pizzería Arrocería Plaza and in Pinar de Campoverde: Restaurante Río Seco.


During the winter the The Rojales Craft Market at the Cuevas del Rodeo in Rojales is open on the 1st Sunday of each month in the morning from 11am to 2pm. It is a fun place to visit if you are looking for a small gift, piece of art or decoration. Local artists put their work on display along with other craft works to browse and enjoy.


Kids of all ages are invited to attend the Torrellano Miniature Steam Train. It is run by the friends of the railways association and so is normally only open on Saturdays between 4pm and 8pm with Miniature Train Rides from November to April on the 2nd Sunday of every month from 10.30am to 1.30pm and May to October the 2nd Saturday of every month between 4.30pm and 7.30pm. Their Train Museum is open every Saturday from 4pm to 8pm. Donations of 1.50€ are the norm to enjoy the experience.

X Anniversary – Musicas Sin Fronteras Music Festival – Rojales


Friday 31st March CARLOS PIÑANA


The guitarist Carlos Piñana will present in Rojales his new album “De la Raíz al Alma”, a mix from Eastern music to Flamenco classics,


together with latino sounds and blues. Carlos Piñana has a unique style that combines Flamenco and classical guitar, although not an ordinary classical guitar. As a lively musician, open minded to the sounds of his time, he is capable of breaking cultural borders between genres. Music that with his sensitivity, expresses a unique and contemporary style.


Friday 7th April JAUME VILASECA TRIO + MAR VILASECA


The progressive Rock of the mythical British band Genesis becomes Jazz by Jaume Vilaseca Trio + Mar Vilaseca who will close the festival with their concert. The band is led by the Catalan pianist and composer Jaume Vilaseca, one of the most versatile Jazz musicians of Spain evoking the musical universe of Genesis with Jazz arrangements/ in their works ‘Jazznesis’ (2008) and ‘Jazznesis 2” (2015). In their concert the band will also play other songs from the 70s such as pieces from Stevie Wonder or Grover Washington Jr, but always with their personal style. They will also play some original compositions.


Both concerts are held at the Teatro Capital, Rojales and start at 9pm. Entrance is 8€.

Fri 14th April - Good Friday 11am Cristo Resucitado (Centro Ecuménico) (La Regia) - Ecumenical ‘Stations of the Cross’.


3pm Los Balcones - Celebration of the Passion of the Lord. Sat 15th April - Holy Saturday 7:30 pm Los Balcones - The Easter Vigil (followed by Resurrection Party). Please note the time we begin this evening. This service lasts around 1.5 hours.


It is the most important service of the Church’s Year! No celebration at Lago Jardín tonight (see Easter Sunday Services) Sun 16th April - Easter Sunday Church Centres’ normal Service times. All services are celebrations of the Holy Eucharist. 6pm Lago Jardín – Holy Eucharist (an additional Service).
