Are you missing Eastenders or Coronation street? Want to catch up on the news back home or do you want an endless supply of movies and box sets? The answer could be Internet TV.


The Technology


The technology behind your smart phone has also been integrated into a compact box which can be connected to your TV. With special software loaded this means live TV from the internet can be streamed direct to your screen. The added bonus is as it's based on a smart phone is you can load other smart phone apps such as Twitter or Facebook and see them supersize on your TV. The box will even take a regular keyboard and mouse.


Options


The box can be loaded with the internet TV software and movies, boxsets, and live freeview TV will be available with no subscription. Premium channels can be received but can be unreliable. If you want premium channels such as sports reliably then a subscription service is available.


Requirements


You will need a reliable 6mb internet connection to receive the freeview channels and your TV will need to be within good wireless range of your internet router. If you want to watch movies in HD 10-15mb internet connection speed will be needed.
