Very good news to report this month. At the time of writing this report the Pearls (top photo) and Diamonds (bottom photo) have both won their respective Divisions in the South Alicante League.
Our Friday Swallows squad have one match to play and are currently tied at the top of the First Division of the Southern League.
Our winter league squad in the Costa Blanca Winter League are currently holding top position but with still a few games to go.
Our club championships have just come to a close and there are some interesting new names to go on the trophies. The results are as follows:
Men Singles Champion: Derek Toozer Ladies Singles Champion: Carol Broomfield
Mixed Pairs Champions: Carol Broomfield & Jason Prokopowycz Men’s Pairs Champions: Chris Brazier & Jason Prokopowycz Ladies Pairs Champions: Sandra Heath & Pearl Houghton Mixed Triples Champions: George Carnell, Deidre Leeming & Peter Morgan Mixed Fours Champions: Kevin McKenna, Peta Rhodes, Harry Rhodes & Jack Martin
All of the above players will be competing in the Champion of Champions Competition in April.
In addition to the above our further club champions are as follows: Mixed 2 Bowl Singles: Sandra Heath Handicap Singles: Jason Prokopowycz Major/Minor Pairs: Caroline Smith & Phil Bevan Men’s Triples: Harry Johnston, Mark France & Phil Bevan
Our Saturday morning ‘Chicken Drive’ is open to visitors. Players wishing to take part should report at 9.45am for a 10am start.
