Friday 3rd March, Dunblane Cathedral Guild World Day of Prayer to be held this year in St. Mary’s church at 10.30 a.m. All welcome


• Sunday 5th March, Arts Guild’s Fairtrade Afternoon Tea, 3pm. You will find music, Fairtrade drinks and home baking. The local young musicians who play always appreciate the friendly atmosphere of this event, held in the cosy Cathedral Hall. Admission is free – donations to charity welcome.


• Wednesday 5th April, Dunblane Garden Club. Dr Haston RBGE will be talking about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who studied at the Botanical Gardens. The meeting will be held in the Cathedral Halls in the Leighton Room starting at 2pm. Visitors are very welcome and are charged at £1.50. (Last meeting til October)


• Monday 6th March, Dunblane Cathedral Guild, 7.30pm in Cathedral Hall palaeontologist Neil Clark, will tell us all about “Dinosaurs” Are you curious? Come along and ask the expert your questions.





Friday, 10 March The Annual Dunblane Lecture is at 7:30pm in the Victoria Hall. This year’s talk will be “a Conversation with Lord David Steel of Aikwood”. Lord Steele was the first Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament.


Tickets which are £4 for members and £5 for visitors (incl. wine/soft drinks and


light nibbles) can be purchased from Smallprint, Dunblane, at Civic Society and Local History Society meetings or at the door on the night. A warm invitation is extended to all. This lecture is organised jointly by the Civic Society and the Local History Society.
