Meeting in the Dunblane Centre on Thursday mornings, is a Childminders Group. They have been engaged in a pilot scheme with the SCMA (Scottish Child Minding Association) which encourages them to develop into a more child focused group, supporting and building the confi dence of the care givers.

Whilst every toddler group has something to off er, they wanted to be more than that and they started to draw on their strengths and enhance the activities they off ered, sharing responsibilities between them. As a group of professional child carers, their combined skills and experiences were impressive and they found they could still be fun and sociable whilst structuring the sessions to include more socialisation and interaction between the children. Each week is planned ahead of time so each activity off ered has a theme and a learning purpose.
