GOLDEN TREASURE CHEST GOLD MEDAL & PURE LUXURY PROMOTION
The winner takes it all...
Gold Medal’s new Golden Treasure Chest campaign will reward agents with a staggering £50,000 worth of prizes. Sales boss Gordon McCreadie tells us all about it
Gold Medal and Pure Luxury are teaming up with Travel Weekly to reward agents with a £50,000 prize giveaway. The operator this week launches its Golden Treasure Chest campaign, run in partnership with Emirates, Qantas and Atlantis The Palm in Dubai. It is the fourth time the operator has run the campaign. It began with the Golden Ticket incentive in 2009, which returned as Golden Ticket Reloaded in 2014 and again last year as the Golden Bucket List. To enter the incentive, which is Gold Medal’s
biggest investment of the year, agents need to make a booking for Atlantis The Palm with Emirates or Qantas flights between now and October 31 with Gold Medal or Pure Luxury. As well as being entered into the prize
draw, agents will earn Farebank Rewards on bookings: £10 for a standard packages and £20 if it includes a suite or premium flights.
THE GRAND PRIZE The grand prize is valued at £25,000, with the overall winner receiving a golden treasure chest filled with prizes including champagne, suitcases, jewellery vouchers, a gold iPhone and a three-night stay in an Ambassador Suite at Atlantis The Palm for two people, with business-class flights. The four top sellers at the end of the
incentive will be invited to Michelin-starred Northcote Manor. A ‘wildcard’ place is also up
for grabs and will be awarded at random to an agent who enters
the weekly competitions run in Gold Medal’s GMag online email. Each will be given a key to the treasure chest and the agent who has the matching key will win the grand prize. The four runners-up will win a holiday to Atlantis with flights for two people.
BUZZ ABOUT DUBAI Gordon McCreadie, UK sales and marketing director for Gold Medal and sister brand Travel 2, said: “September and October are our two biggest months for sales after the peaks in January and February. “Atlantis The Palm is our biggest-selling
hotel for Gold Medal and Dubai as a whole is absolutely massive for us. “This year we are partnering with
Emirates and Qantas, which between them have 21 flights a day to Dubai. “Sales for Dubai continue to go
from strength to strength and it’s really become a mainstream destination over the years. We’re expecting sales to strengthen further with the level of investment in Dubai coming over the next six to 12 months. “This campaign definitely creates a buzz among agents and we always get agents asking our key account managers when the Golden Ticket is launching.” McCreadie expects sales for Atlantis, Qantas
