BOEING 777: British Airways will fly to Tehran six days a week
said: “Iran is a large and growing economy and Tehran is a brilliant business city. The lifting of sanctions opens up exciting prospects for Iran as a tourist destination.” It is important to make clear
Iranian visa requirements to clients wishing to travel. UK passport holders need a
30-day visa for a leisure trip. Holders of passports with an Israeli stamp, or stamps from border crossings with Israel, may be refused entry, while US passport holders cannot enter Iran. Forms need to be completed
several weeks in advance and submitted to the Iranian embassy in London. Visas must be collected in person. Women and girls over the age of nine should wear a headscarf in application photos. Once clients have an Iranian visa, they lose the right to travel to the US on an Esta (electronic travel application) and must in future apply for a US visa. BA is offering economy return
fares to Tehran from £384, World Traveller Plus from £728 and Club
World business class from £2,163.

Delta Air Lines to switch all Heathrow services to Terminal 3 this month
Delta Air Lines will relocate all Heathrow services to Terminal 3 and operate its flights alongside sister carrier Virgin Atlantic from September 14. The US carrier’s Heathrow
operations have been split between Terminals 3 and 4 since the launch of its transatlantic joint venture with Virgin Atlantic in 2014. Delta services to New York JFK, Boston and Seattle already operate from Terminal 3. Flights to Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Philadelphia will move from Terminal 4. Delta’s SkyTeam partner airlines will remain at Terminal 4. Nat Pieper, Delta’s senior vice-
president for Europe, said: “This enhances the travel experience for customers and marks a major
milestone in our joint venture.”

Hello again – it’s been a little while! There’s been lots going on here at Liverpool which has kept us all very busy. I have been in London recently meeting with great tour operators that we are looking to work more closely with to help support the trade with everything they need to best promote their products, destinations and the benefits of flying from LPL! Take a look at our updated tour

liverpoolairport.com/tour-operators Among announcements have been Ryanair’s winter 2016 schedule. It includes two new routes (Sofia and Marrakech) and five new winter services (Bergerac, Gran Canaria, Pisa, Porto and Szczecin). Plus, Ryanair is adding extra departures to Alicante and Malaga, resulting in 25 routes in total, which is fantastic. We have also rebranded our car parking. Trade users have a discount code for it that you can currently find via our Facebook group ‘Liverpool Airport Trade’ while we await our trade login to go live via the main site. And that’s not all. Events
have included an After-Dark showcase with our superb airline partner Vueling, whose sales executive Barbara Melinska joined us for a fun-filled evening to promote the Vueling product, together with the new commercial developments at the airport. The evening included a buffet and a visit to the airport’s fire station! The next event will be on September 7 and more details can be found via our Facebook page.
