Cathedral where Luther was or- dained as priest. Visit the Augu- stinian Monastery where Luther lived as a monk and admire the Krämerbrücke. Then we continue to the medieval city of Coburg where we visit the famous Veste Coburg, the fortress where Luther took re- fuge and lived during the Augsburg Confession. Our last destination for today is Würzburg.
Day 6 Würzburg - Rothen- burg ob der Tauber - Heidel- berg During the morning we visit the an- cient town of Würzburg, known as “the jewel of the Main River“, con- sidered one of Germany’s loveliest towns. One of the highlights of your trip will be today’s visit to Rothen- burg, the best preserved medieval town in all of Europe. During this walking tour you visit St. Jacob´s Church with the renowned Blood Altar. Then continue to Heidelberg.
Day 7 Heidelberg - Stras- bourg In the morning we visit Heidelberg, it is the very symbol of German Ro- manticism and home to Germany‘s oldest University, where Martin Luther held one of his earliest de- bates with church leaders. Visit the famous Heidelberg Castle and tour the historic city center. During the afternoon we travel to the City of Strasbourg.
Day 8 Strasbourg - Speyer - Worms This morning enjoy a panoramic and walking tour of this historic city of Strasbourg and visit Notre

Dame Cathedral, that in 1524 was assigned to the Protestant faith by the City Council. See Petite France and the old city with its backdrop of picturesque canals and take 45 minute scenic boat ride which pro- vides a unique view of the heart of this beautiful city as it navigates some of the canals. In the afternoon we leave for Speyer. The city has a compact historic center that is do- minated by the Speyer Cathedral, several churches and the Old Town Gate. The cathedral houses the tombs of eight German emperors and kings.
Day 9 Worms - Mainz - Frankfurt Today we enjoy a brief walking tour in Worms to see the site of the Worms Debates (Diet of Worms), the Reformation Monument, St. Pe- ters, and the Church of the Holy Tri- nity. We continue to Mainz, where we visit the city and the Gutenberg Museum. You also see its most prized exhibit, the world-famous Gutenberg Bible, the first major book printed in the West using movable type. Also in the heart of Mainz you see St. Martin’s Cathe- dral considered the high point of Ro- manesque cathedral architecture in Germany. The trip ends in Frankfurt.
