Day 1 / Thursday Munich Arrival in Munich and transfer to your hotel. Accommodation at the Holiday Inn Munich City Centre****.
Day 2 / Friday Munich After breakfast we visit the city’s main attractions, concluding the tour at the Marienplatz square with its famous clock tower. Munich, the capital of the state of Bavaria is fa- mous for its Oktoberfest, which is celebrated annually in September. The afternoon is free to explore at your leisure. In the evening you enjoy a traditional Bavarian dinner. Accommodation at the Holiday Inn Munich City Centre****.
Day 3 / Saturday Munich - Passau - Linz In the morning we travel to Passau. This city, on the border between Germany and Austria, has a very privileged location by the Danube, the Inn and the Ilz rivers. In the af- ternoon we cross the Austrian bor- der to the city of Linz, a picturesque town on the banks of the Danube river. Accommodation at the Arcotel Nike****.
Day 4 / Sunday Linz - Dürnstein - Melk - Vienna After breakfast we enjoy a short stop at the village of Dürnstein, nestled in the heart of the magnifi- cent Wachau Valley. The charming town of Dürnstein offers a unique
combination of breathtaking scene- ry and traditional architecture. It was in the Kuenringer Castle, who- se ruins still overlook Dürnstein, that the English King Richard Lion- heart was held prisoner. We conti- nue to Melk for a short visit to the famous Abbey. Finally we arrive at Vienna, the magnificent capital of Austria. Accommodation at the Ho- tel Arcotel Wimberger****.
Day 5 / Monday Vienna Sightseeing tour of Vienna. We ad- mire the Opera, Hofburg Palace, He- roes Gate, Parliament, the Council and the other attractions. Afternoon free to explore Vienna at your lei- sure. At night attend a gala dinner accompanied by live classical music (optional, not included). Accommo- dation at the Hotel Arcotel Wimber- ger****.
Day 6 / Tuesday Vienna - Lake District - Salzburg In the morning we continue to the
Lake District and ascend to Mount Zwölferhorn by cable car to enjoy wonderful views over the Lake Wolfgang. Continue to the city of Salzburg, where the genius com- poser Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born. Sightseeing tour with examples of breathtaking Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque artistry. Our visit also includes the world famous Mirabell Gardens and we see the house where Mozart grew up. Accommodation at the Hotel NH Salzburg City****.
Day 7 / Wednesday Salzburg - Berchtesgaden - Chiemsee - Munich After breakfast we travel along the Königsee River Valley, through the Bavarian mountains, along roman- tic farmhouses to Obersalzberg. Special buses and an elevator will bring us to the Eagle´s Nest. From there we continue to Lake Chiem- see, the “Bavarian Sea” for a short stop. The program ends at Munich Airport, around 6 pm.
