Swiss Mountains & Golden Pass Line
Day 1 Zurich - Lucerne Transfer from your hotel or airport to the train station to board the train to Lucerne. Famous for its medieval bridge, Lucerne is one of the most beautiful cities in Swit- zerland. Make sure to visit the hi- storic city center with its colorful facades.
Day 2 Lucerne - Mount Pila- tus - Lucerne Standing approximately 2.100 me- ters above sea level, Mount Pilatus is one of the highest peaks in the Lucerne region. Travel to the top aboard the steepest cog railway in the world (up to 48% grade), a 30 minute ride. The views of Lake Lucerne and the Alps are truly spectacular. Return to Lucerne. The afternoon is free to explore on your own.
Day 3 Lucerne - Golden Pass Line - Interlaken The Golden Pass Line travels in approximately two hours from Lu- cerne to Interlaken. Nestled bet- ween Thun Lake and Brienz Lake, Interlaken is a pleasant city that makes the perfect starting point for exploring the nearby mountains, including world famous peaks such as Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. En- joy a sightseeing tour of the city.
Day 4 Interlaken - Jung- fraujoch - Interlaken Travel to the top of Europe! Jung- fraujoch offers a year-round win- ter wonderland of snow and ice. Disembark at the highest train station in Europe, at an elevation of 3.454 m. Built in 1912, the train travels approx. 9 kilometers high up in the mountains, crossing a
tunnel through Mount Eiger. Upon arrival admire the breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier and the Bernese Oberland (Highland).
Day 5 Interlaken - Golden Pass Line - Montreux We leave the Alpine landscape of the Bernese Oberland behind us and travel by Golden Pass line to the Swiss Riviera. The city of Mon- treux is world renowned for its jazz festival and its beautiful setting on Lake Geneva. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along Montreux’s pleasant lakeside boulevard.
Day 6 Montreux - Zurich The morning is free to spend at your leisure. Around noon return to Zurich by train.
