Spices aren’t the only thing available at Townsend as Yeti coolers, quality knives, sauces and cutting boards are also featured.
and while that is still the bulk of what they do, they are growing the retail side and website.
Today, they stock about 40 spice blends in the store, make another 40 proprietary blends for businesses, and continue to add seasonings all the time.
Magic Chick Dust, Greek Seasoning and Crash Coarse (a spicy blend) are their best-selling retail spices. They are also following the trend to quench consumer’s desire for hotter spices and rubs. For example, they now make a Jalapeno Greek Seasoning.
They sell spices in bulk and small quantities alike to fit the needs of any operation.

In terms of retail, sales are heavily driven by deer season and the
holidays; the company makes a variety of sausage seasonings and will help put together gift baskets for Christmas. The retail store stocks everything a barbecue aficionado loves: Yeti coolers, quality knives, sauces and multi-colored wood cutting boards in the shape of a hog.
But they have not forgotten their roots: butcher supplies is still a big part of the business and Linn said he supplies most of the butcher shops in surrounding states and sells everything from saws to butcher paper to twine and casing.
Both of their family’s pitch in and with most small businesses “everyone does a little bit of everything,” said Linn.
