Teulada Moraira Lions Club - Carols at the beach 10th December, Pergola Delante Del Mar, Playa D’Ampolla.
For the last 4 years the Teulada Moraira Lions Club has started the Christmas Season at the beginning of December with their ‘What A Cracker’ concert of carols. This year the location has been changed to Pergola Delante Del Mar, Playa D’Ampolla in Moraira. To reflect the move down to the beach area, the name has been changed to ‘Carols At The Beach’, and it will be bigger and better than ever!
As has become traditional, the Salvation Army Band from Madrid will be joining us, but this year we are very pleased to welcome 34 of them, in addition to the Salvation Army Contingent from Denia.
There will be carols to sing, and on sale there will be Mulled Wine, Mince Pies, Shortbread and Gingerbread Men to enjoy.
The Teulada Moraira Lions will be in their now famous yellow jackets, and will circulate with their collecting buckets. The collection does not go to the Lions, but to help the wonderful work that the Salvation Army does at Christmas to make sure everyone in the Denia area has enough to eat.
Please come along and join the crowd, carol sheets will be available, and from 6pm on Saturday 10th December, Christmas will well and truly start in Moraira!
A Christmas Carol
The theatre group “Sounds Familiar” are kicking off the Christmas season with a musical adaptation of “A Christmas Carol” at the Casa de Cultura in Calpe on Wednesday 30th November and Thursday 1st December.
The group have been rehearsing songs and routines throughout the summer to tell the classic Charles Dickens tale of the miser Ebenezer Scrooge and his encounters with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. The show is full of music ranging from Christmas Carols to well-known songs from various musical shows.
This promises to be a fun production full of music, colour and humour to get you in the Christmas mood.
The show is also helping to raise funds for the Friends of the Children of Emaús. In addition, on the nights of the shows, the foyer of the Auditorium is also going to be a drop-off point for items to go into the “Santa Sacks” which are being prepared for the children on Christmas Day.

TCF Annual Christmas Fair
Torrevieja Christian Fellowship (TCF) are holding their Annual Christmas Fair at TCF, Avenida de las Vaencianas, 68, Torrevieja 03183. (between Iceland and the Needle).
The Fair is on Saturday 12th of November between 1pm and 3.30pm. Our Craft Club have made beautiful inexpensive gifts for Christmas including jewellery, hand-made cards, knitted goods and embroidery. Home baked items, toiletries and bric a brac stalls as well.
Refreshments are also available. Bring your family and friends.
