The next meeting of the Xàbia Book Circle will take place on Tuesday 8th November in the Social Centre in Xàbia Old Town, at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start.
Thi s month Anne Mackay is presenting a talk based on the book by David Bellos entitled
'Is That a Fish in Your Ear?: The Amazing Adventure of Translation', which is a fascinating study of the nature of translation illustrating how translation is at the heart of everything we do and makes us who we are - covering puns, poetry, news bulletins, films etc. Contributions will be welcome, from the amusing to the difficult and from the incomprehensible to the sublime!
We usually meet on the first Tuesday of each month in the Centro Social, Xàbia Old Town, beside the Health Centre, at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start, and we finish at 8.45pm.
