A couple of years ago I started doing breakfast seminars in bars up and down the Costa Blanca and it has proven to be an ideal opportunity to discuss a multitude of issues with Expatriates (or brexpatriates!)
The agenda for my 30-40 minute monologue begins when breakfast is ordered and usually finishes as those present finish eating……….
In between I have talked about how we at deVere look to save people money through efficient tax planning: Modelo 720, The Automatic Exchange of Information, Inheritance Tax, Wills and Funeral Plans.

I move on to some of the means by which we can make people money. Looking for long lost pensions has proven to be a big and profitable 'hit' with many attendees. What to do with your 'frozen' or deferred pension – and how your beneficiaries can be significantly better off. Capital Investment attracts a lot of interest from people who are somwhat tired of the poor returns they have had to suffer for such a long time.
I talk briefly about Foreign Exchange and Mortgages before sitting back with a cup of tea and talking to those who have personal questions. In any event, those who want more information will receive it in the form of emails or a personal visit.
It surprises some that there is absolutley no cost for the advice and information they receive!

Charity event in aid of DEBRA
We are organising an event for Piel De Mariposa (Butterfly Children). This is to take place at Guardamar Beach at 12 midday on December 26th 2016.
We urgently need volunteers to help organise this event which we hope will be a huge success. Our aim is to raise as much money as we can through sponsorship of individuals and through corporate sponsors donations.
Café Bar Tabarca on Guardamar sea front are preparing a special Menu Del Dia for the event.
Fancy dress will be optional and we want to encourage as many people as possible to join in.
We hope to make it a huge fiesta with an outside radio broadcast, special guests and dignitaries from the Town Hall, Police and Casino all being invited. We also hope to have local entertainers present to entertain the crowd during and after the event. If anyone knows a children’s entertainer who would be willing to donate their time then please get in touch.
Participants will only need to DIP - swimming is encouraged but with the tides we are aware of the dangers and so up to the waist is all we ask!
We have a working group each month on the first Tuesday of the month at 1pm in Victoria’s Tearoom and Bar, Calle Picasso no5, Almoradi. All volunteers welcome.
