PHARMACY TEAM MEMBER OF THE YEAR


ENTRY CAN BE BY NOMINATION OR BY SELF-ENTRY.


The Pharmacy Team Member of the Year Award seeks those outstanding Non- Pharmacist individuals who have made a significant contribution to community pharmacy in Northern Ireland.


This Award recognises excellence in knowledge and/or service to pharmacy retail customers and patients.


Nominations for the category can be made through self-nomination, by colleagues or by pharmacy business owners.


WHO CAN ENTER?


The category encompasses those working as Pharmacy Assistants, Pharmacy Technicians, Dispensers or Category Specialists such as those working in cosmetics or photography.


JUDGES WILL BE LOOKING FOR THOSE WHO HAVE:


• Been involved in the development of a new service • Went above and beyond to sell the benefits of pharmacy


• Changed or re-structured the way their colleagues work in a way to reduce work load or improve patient care


• Piloted, run or developed a health campaign in their pharmacy YOUNG COMMUNITY


PHARMACIST OF THE YEAR ENTRY CAN BE BY NOMINATION OR BY SELF ENTRY.


Pharmacists are the focal point of any community and those in their infancy years of the profession can hint at leadership excellence that inspires and develops the potential of others.


The Young Community Pharmacist of the Year Award recognises rising talent and potential amongst those at the beginning of their careers – those individuals who are already demonstrating that they can make a difference to the pharmacy profession, the companies for whom they work and the communities they serve.


The award is a great opportunity to raise your profile within the pharmacy community, helping to accelerate your career as well as gaining recognition and acknowledgement for your skills.


WHO CAN ENTER?


• This award is open to pharmacists up to age 30 at the time of submission, who are working within any pharmacy where their involvement has been greater than six months.


• This award is also open to former Pre-Registration students (who may no longer be at the pharmacy), I.e. Former Pre-Registration Pharmacist who worked for the pharmacy for a minimum of six months in the year up to 25th September 2016.


JUDGES WILL BE LOOKING FOR:


• Judges will want to see effective communication skills with both staff and customers.


• Demonstration of a commitment to mentoring or other leadership activities.


• Operation within their own pharmacy, liaising with key staff members and management and developing key communication skills.


• A dedication and commitment to furthering the profession into the future.

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO PHARMACY SHOWCASES AND CELEBRATES ACHIEVEMENT AMONG THE COMMUNITY PHARMACY


SECTOR IN NORTHERN IRELAND. As well as highlighting the ever-increasing contribution pharmacists make to the wider healthcare arena, this accolade is aimed at identifying appropriate role models to inspire and motivate others.


This Award is aimed at finding and recognising an individual who has had a sustained career, which has not only had a very significant contribution to the pharmacy sector, but also has been an inspiration to peers.


The recipient will be a figure, who has had most impact on the pharmacy profession who is likely to have impacted on the working lives of most pharmacists over the course of the year. The winner will have shown evidence of leadership, determination and clarity of thought.
