Pharmacy In Focus

YEARS REWARDING EXCELLENCE

YES, IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN WHEN WE TURN THE SPOTLIGHT ON ALL THAT'S GREAT ABOUT PHARMACY IN NORTHERN IRELAND.

PHARMACY IN FOCUS AWARDS: 10 YEARS... AND COUNTING!

O

ne one special night in January 2017, the spotlight will once again fall on the

province's pharmacy industry! Respected members of the profession, representatives from the pharmaceutical industry and members of the industry's professional bodies will all converge on the Ramada Plaza at Shaw's Bridge to celebrate the highlight of the pharmacy year: the Pharmacy in Focus Awards.

The awards, which we run annually in conjunction with the Ulster Chemists' Association's President's Ball, provide an opportunity to o provide an opportunity for the entire industry.

AND THIS YEAR THERE'S EVEN MORE REASON TO CELEBRATE...

That's because 2017 marks the tenth year of these prestigious awards and we want YOU to join us at this gala event to both mark this fantastic achievement AND to enjoy our special evening!

This year's event promises to be just as glittering as ever and we'd like to take a moment to thank our Sponsors and Event Partners for all their support. Numark and AAH have been involved with our awards for ten years now, recognising and rewarding the

pharmacy sector in Northern Ireland. Alliance Healthcare, meanwhile, are supporting the awards for the first time and we are delighted to both welcome and thank them. We hope that this will be the first of many years of working together.

The event, which will be held at Ramada Plaza, Shaw's Bridge on Saturday 28 January 2017, will once again showcase successful projects or initiatives by individuals and teams, which reflect the contribution that pharmacy makes to Northern Ireland healthcare on a daily basis!

So, now's the time to showcase YOUR talents and achievements by applying for one of our fantastic award categories.....just take a look!

Over the last decade we've consistently delivered a cross-industry awards programme, which has reflected excellence in pharmaceutical care in a variety of categories, and this year promises more of the same...

This year there are some new

categories to choose from, covering every aspect of pharmacy excellence: from customer service to entrepreneurship. And, as always, we're moving with the trends! While we've always promoted innovation, for example, this year, we've chosen to reflect the changes in pharmacy delivery with the addition of an eHealth element.

Take a look at this year's categories and you're sure to find one that reflects the great work that you and your pharmacy team have been doing over the past year. Success in our awards is recognised throughout Northern Ireland pharmacy and carries with it a high degree of prestige. But don't just take our word for it....listen to a few of our previous winners!

Catharine Murray, Groves Pharmacy, Belfast

'Applying for the award provided us with a valuable opportunity to properly appraise the business.

As a result, I believe that the business has benefited.'

Parvana Aghazada, Randalstown

Pharmacies Ltd 'Entering the awards process definitely impacted on all of us....and winning an award was recognition of the good work that we were already doing!'

Dr Ruth Miller, Western Health &

Social Care Trust 'Awards offer the opportunity to not just 'take stock' and think about all that has been achieved by a pharmacy team, whether that be in the community or hospital setting, but to gain recognition for those achievements.'

So, that's what just a few of our previous winners think....but now it's YOUR turn to apply for this year's awards which will be particularly special to all of us.
