DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN STOCKHOLM You should arrive at the airport to take your flight to Stockholm where you will be met and transferred, depending on the date travelled, to either the centrally-located, four-star Hotel Radisson or Scandic for two nights with breakfast.


DAY 2 - STOCKHOLM CITY TOUR Stockholm is a fascinating city tumbling across an idyllic archipelago on the shores of the Baltic Sea. This morning we have a city tour when history comes to life and you can really appreciate not only its cultural and architectural highlights but the sheer atmosphere, harmony and evident love of life. "Gamla Stan" - the medieval Old Town set around some small islands is the city's heart. Nearby is the imposing exterior of the Royal Palace and the delightful architecture of Stortorget, Stockholm's oldest square, flanked by the more recent Nobel museum which celebrates the illustrious prize, its recipients and its founder. We visit the Royal Palace, the King's official


residence and the unmistakable jewel in Stockholm's DAYS

crown. The rest of the afternoon and evening are free for you to return to your own particular favourite corner of the city.


DAY 3 - TRAIN TO COPENHAGEN Stockholm offers a wide variety of wonderful attractions, so this morning you are free to explore its delights as you wish - the list is almost endless! This afternoon we take the high-speed train (approx. 5hrs) to Copenhagen. After the sea bridge and tunnel, we arrive in Copenhagen staying three nights with breakfast at either the Hotel Kong Arthur or Scandic Copenhagen depending on the date travelled.


DAY 4 - COPENHAGEN After breakfast we have a guided tour of Copenhagen, a real revelation, ironically perhaps best known for two iconic landmarks, the Carlsberg Brewery and the Little Mermaid, the statue inspired by the famous Dane - Hans Christian Andersen.


You'll see the Royal Danish Theatre which played a key role in his life and the picturesque Nyhavn (New Harbour) where Andersen lived much of his life and now famed for its colourful houses. The afternoon and evening are free so that you can explore the many wonders of this smart yet relaxed city as you wish.


DAY 5 - VIKING MUSEUM & FREDERIKSBORG PALACE Today, we explore a little more of Denmark commencing with historic Roskilde, the country's medieval capital. Firstly, we visit the outstanding Cathedral, and one of the world's few brick built gothic structures surrounded by a 10th century medieval quarter full of charming cobbled streets. Next, we visit the extraordinary Viking museum, on the remains of an ancient harbour. Finally, we head north to Frederiksborg Slot a majestic Renaissance palace, a real Nordic Versailles.


DAY 6 - RETURN FLIGHT Today you will be transferred to Copenhagen airport for your flight home.
