PRICE INCLUDES The price of this holiday is per person, based on two people sharing a twin room. Single rooms are subject to availability at the above relevant supplement. Scheduled flights to and from Shanghai; 14 nights accommodation in four-star hotels with breakfast, 9 lunches & 5 dinners including 3 nights on board Yangtze cruise ship; guided tours of Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Chengdu and Shanghai; four domestic flights and two rail journeys; all transfers and hotel porterage of one item of luggage per person; services of an experienced Riviera tour manager. N.B. Itinerary may be subject to change depending on domestic flight timings and Yangtze & Li river water levels. Meals in China: all included lunches and dinners are Chinese meals and are set menus of several courses and dishes shared around tables of 6-10 persons, one local beer or soft drink is normally included as is unlimited Chinese tea; breakfasts are buffet style with western food options. Hotel beds can be ‘firm’ in China and rooms are normally twin-bedded; requests for double beds cannot be guaranteed. NOT INCLUDED: China visa.

VISAS All British passport holders require a multiple-entry tourist China visa which is valid for two years (valid from the date of issue). IMPORTANT NOTE ON BURMA & IRRAWADDY RIVER CRUISING The itinerary, timings and places visited en-route are subject to weather conditions and water levels. You will need to have a sufficient level of mobility to manage getting into small boats, walks up steps and over uneven ground. After so many years of being closed to the outside world, the general facilities in Burma outside the larger towns and hotels tend to be basic, road transport can be lengthy and service slower than in other more developed countries in South East Asia.
