FLIGHTS Up to 15 different regional departure airports, so you can fly from as close to home as possible. We work hard to select the most convenient departure and arrival times.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS Our staff will escort you on your arrival and departure transfers.
TRAINS If you’re travelling by train to your destination (Eurostar or TGV, for example), you have the option of connecting from over 50 regional stations in the UK – only Riviera offers this service.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION It has always been our mantra: ‘Guests should always know why they are staying at a hotel as soon as they walk through the door’. Our hotels are predominantly four or five star, and are selected for different reasons because the criteria required for one night may vary from those required for a week’s stay. Your room could have a view over a lake, be opposite a cathedral, on a delightful main square, have fabulous gardens – you get the picture. As each tour is different, so are the requirements for each hotel. All have their attributes and all are excellent within their category, well located
and maintained, preferably privately owned and exceptionally well managed. Unusually for a holiday company, we pay our hoteliers in advance of your stay. We always have – it makes you very welcome.
EXCURSIONS So you can make the most of every destination, our escorted tours include excursions almost every day, all included within the price. You won’t miss a thing, as you’re guided to all the must-see sights and experiences – as well as some little-known gems along the way, with a chance to discover what only the locals normally enjoy. If there is an optional excursion or activity on your tour, we will always spell out the details and costs before you book.
OUR TOUR MANAGERS All our holidays are led by one of our truly outstanding Tour Managers, many of whom have been looking after our customers for over 10 years (some even up to 20 years!). All share Riviera’s extraordinary passion for travel, which they pour into making your holiday the best it can be. Caring, professional and totally reliable, your Tour Manager is like a trusted friend – but one who speaks the local language, knows all the history of the places you visit and has the ‘inside’ knowledge to let you really ‘get under the skin’ of your destination.
