DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN PRAGUE You arrive at the airport for your flight to Prague. We start our two night stay with dinner at the smart four-star Hotel Clarion, located on the edge of Ceske Budejovice’s beautiful old 13th century town.


DAY 2 - CESKY KRUMLOV A short drive through lovely countryside takes us to magical, Cesky Krumlov with its castle, medieval fortifications and steep lanes winding to the foaming gorge below. Later we return to Ceske Budejovice for a visit to its famous 700 year old brewery, sampling the original Budweiser straight from the barrel. This evening we enjoy a meal out in a local restaurant to soak up the atmosphere and sample some great typical cuisine.


DAY 3 - MELK We head into Austria through wooded countryside to Melk’s stunning monastery towering above the Danube valley - famed for its long gilded Emperor’s Gallery, stupendous library and manuscripts. We

follow the Danube to enchanting Durnstein with its sky blue basilica and ruined castle – before continuing to Vienna for two nights at either the four-star Hotel Lindner or the Arcotel Wimberger.


DAY 4 - VIENNA Our morning guided tour of elegant, imperial Vienna shows you the very best of this gem of central Europe. You’ll see the lovely 12th century St Stephen’s Cathedral with its multi-coloured roof, the former royal court of the Hofburg, the imposing buildings of the Ringstrasse, and many more wonderful palaces and Churches. You’ll have free time too to explore the city in any way you want.


DAY 5 - SCHONBRUNN PALACE We visit the magnificent 18th century Schonbrunn Palace. The summer residence of the Hapsburgs, it’s fabulously decorated and full of priceless works of art. Later, a scenic journey takes us to Prague for three nights at the centrally-located, four-star Jury’s Inn.


DAY 6 - PRAGUE Often described as Europe’s most beautiful city, Prague’s unique atmosphere combines a historic past with a vibrant present. Our in-depth guided tour includes the Charles Bridge, Tyn Church, Powder Tower, old Jewish Quarter, Wenceslas Square and the 11th century Staromestske Namesti square with its legendary astronomical clock.


DAY 7 - PRAGUE CASTLE We visit Hradcany, Prague’s spectacular castle and Cathedral. Perched on a cliff towering over the city, it was the centre of political power for a thousand years. Our expert guide will bring to life its great history and intriguing mix of palaces, churches and fortifications. This evening we dine at a charming local restaurant.


DAY 8 - RETURN FLIGHT You’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
