Bearsted & Thurnham Carnival & Fayre 2016
BEARSTED Green will be invaded by lots of Willie Wonkas, Matildas and Big Friendly Giants when the annual Bearsted and Thurnham Carnival and Fayre celebrates the centenary of children’s author, Roald Dahl.
The fayre takes place on the village green from 1pm on Saturday, June 25 and promises a new look with a number of changes and a few surprises.
The commercial fun fairs have been replaced with a family
fun zone and a food and drink court where visitors can sip a cocktail, enjoy real ale and nibble some delicious food. However, all the usual favourites will still be there with the traditional mix of stalls, rides, refreshments, music, fancy dress, arena events and crowning of the Carnival Princess.
The much-loved event which has become a highlight in the community calendar as well as donating thousands of pounds for local charities, amenities and groups.
